Biography

"As a composer I convey complex human feeling and experiences such as grief, acceptance and finding of oneself. I use my music to compel listeners to reflect inwardly, but also as a means to express my own – often rather existential – inner monologues on life and my place within it all. As a queer and autistic composer, deep reflection on the topic of self as it relates to identity and understanding of the nuances of one’s feelings is crucial in how I develop the abstract narratives behind my works, as well as how I develop a stronger understanding of others. A violist at heart, I also have a particular interest in writing new works to contribute to the viola repertoire."
